Join us on a trip of a lifetime! Departing from one legendary track located in the South East of England to the most notorious racing circuit in the world; Brands Hatch to Nurburgring. This fantastic trip takes place once a year, for an entire week! We're happy to confirm this years dates as Wednesday 2nd September to Tuesday 8th September 2009. What do we do for the whole week? Well… As well as the public open session at the Nurburgring circuit there are also plenty of other things to be doing around the area, so you will be kept busy. The Nurburgring museum *should* be re-opened by the time we arrive, after its rebuild, and if it is anything like the old musuem then it represents a great afternoon or morning. There are also local historic and natural attractions to visit and old towns to spend a days shopping and wandering. This trip will be made truly memorable with activities throughout the day and camp fire fun through the evenings. The run originally started out for classic minis, but with all mini owners being car enthusiasts we thought 'why not open it up to all types of retro car?' So this is what we have done, no matter what type of retro car you have, you will be more than welcome to join us. Due to the massive demand for places on this years BH2N Retro Run 2009, Paypal were unable to set the limits on our Paypal account in order for us to keep up with them all. This does mean that until the monkees at Paypal HQ find their keyboards we're stuck with just taking cheques and postal orders! We apologise for the inconvenience, however it does mean that sending in your monies will only cost you the price of a stamp, rather than the 4% Paypal extorts. |
 Trackday Films has been confirmed as a sponsor of the BH2N Retro Run for a second year running. Al Clark and his team did a fantastic job last year of filming for the duration of the run in 2008 and then editing all the footage in to a superb DVD. This has allowed all of us who enjoyed last years run to remember the best bits and keep us excited about the forthcoming run this year (not that we need much encouragement)! For this years run Trackday Films will once again by filming us all from Brands Hatch to the Nurburgring and then again back to Blighty, taking interviews and grabbing footage as we make our way around the 'Ring and enjoying ourselves on the events planned during the week. |

Wow, no sooner had we quietly made the application forms on the website, word had spread and we found ourselves with 50 deposits and application forms in our inbox! The forms were published to the website about two weeks ago and we took the last deposit over the weekend, selling the run out in the quickest time ever. In fact the run has sold out so quickly that I haven't even had time to update the website with a proper runners list yet! However, to give you a flavour of what sort of cars will be line up alonside the track at Brands, we have our usual clutch of classic Minis, along with their French cousin the Pug 205, a gorgeous Mk1 Astra, one MG "smoke machine" Metro, and some very Retro VWs amongst others. We are absolutely delighted that the run has go on to grow from the strong base that was put down last year and that demand for the run is stronger than ever! |
